Little Helper Kate offers our services to those on Personal Independence Payment (PIP.) A government fund that helps people who have the extra costs associated with a long-term illness or disability.
Let's look at how Personal Independence Payments work. The amount of money you are given is governed by how your condition affects you, not by the condition itself. To be eligible you have to be between 16-64 years old and have a health condition/disability which affects daily activities. If your health condition causes difficulties getting around unaided you may also be eligible. Also, you must have had the health condition for 3 months and expect the difficulties to continue for at least another 9 months.
Who does this matter to?
You can use PIP to pay for the services we offer. For example, for someone with arthritis or chronic fatigue, cooking can be an exhausting task. This fund can help you get a meal prep package from us. It isn’t just physical illnesses or disabilities either. Someone living with a mental health condition such as depression or autism would also be considered for PIP.
Other uses for this support include helping homeless people stay in a bed and breakfast. Another is to allow young disabled people the chance to live normally. This fund can also allow you to get council tax discounts and travel support.
Little Helper Kate has had some recent enquires from people who are visually impaired and businesses in need of support. This is an example of where we can help! We have virtual assistants that help with various duties and you can use the PIP payments to hire us. PIP can massively improve someone's quality of life and Little Helper Kate can be a part of that. You can also use PIP if you struggle with mobility. We offer delivery and taxi-esc service to make it easier to get around or just get some fresh air.
We also provide cleaning services for people and businesses. Therefore no one, even those who struggle financially, have a clean and safe environment to live in. At Little Helper Kate we don’t want people to go without basic care no matter their financial situation.
